?Text? Daniel 6:15-17 15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed. 16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee. 17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel 3:18-20 18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. 19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. 20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Matthew 27:32-56 32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. 33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, 34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. 35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. 36 And sitting down they watched him there; 37 And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews. 38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left. 39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, 40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. 41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, 42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. 43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. 44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth. 45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? 47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. 48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. 49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. 50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. 54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. 55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: 56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.

?My Thoughts? The thought came to me after a few days of other peoples Drama there is a lot of drama throughout the bible, Daniel in the lions den, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego being put in the fiery furnace. Then the biggest story to ever be told is the crucifixion of Christ. So if you are in need of drama in your life try reading the bible it is packed with many stories, to heighten you need for drama. I myself don't desire to have any drama in my life, it impacts the negative energy and removes the positive energy I do desire to keep focused on God. My prayer is that you release the negative in your life and maintain the positive energy and focus on God, lose the Drama. Amen

Money

?Text? 1 Timothy 6:9-11 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

?My Thoughts? Many of us know we need money to live in this world, but we also need to realize that to covet money and the finer things it can do for you can allow you to experience loss of the spiritual love of God. The warning issued in verse11 also tells us to stay away from such influence, this will avoid losing the faith we deeply need to follow God. Put yourself in a situation to treasure money will only let you dwell on the power of money leading you away from God and His will for your life. This is to tread on dangerous ground with your soul. My prayer is that you guard yourself to protect your spiritual soul from the evil trap you can fall into. Having money is not a bad thing it is how you use it. Not having money to cherish and worship and to worry over is a blessing to me. I am blessed buy what God has given me to do with. Amen

Hiding Place

?Text? Psalm 32:1-11 1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. 3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah. 5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. 6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. 7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. 8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. 9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. 10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about. 11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
?My Thoughts? Do you remember playing hide and go seek as a child? Today I was thinking how we still need a good place to hide. I was searching scripture and found my answer in the above text. I was pleased to know that God will hide me from trouble and protect me with songs of deliverance. Oh, what a peaceful thought I received. His guidance will protect me from wrong decisions, as I walk a good walk with God, trusting in him for all my needs. I treasure his love for me and His desire to take care of me, I can hid in His love and feel the warmth of His love in return. Do you also understand this kind of relationship available to all? My prayer is that you seek him first and learn of him to find your perfect hiding place. Amen

You do the math

?Text? Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; Leviticus27:13 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. Joshua 24:15 Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
?My thoughts? When things just don;t add up you may need to remember your math lessons. I try think about the quantity not seeming right this causes me to take another look at the math. Satan subtracts and divides, he steals, takes away our peace and joy and divides our family. God adds blessings Hebrews 6:14 But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part thereof unto thy estimation. And he multiplies our faith. So you can see the devil subtract and divides while God adds and multiplies.......You do the Math. It is up to us to chose whom we will serve. If your desire is to lose your soul, the devil awaits. Unconditional love is what God offers and total acceptance in your minds will open the door for your spiritual enlightenment to begin. If you desire peace and love, accept God's gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, peace and joy God is knocking at your door. Open your heart to enjoy His love, peace, and joy. He gave His Love to you on the cross. His blood covers a multitude of sin. You are no exception He loves you, anyone who chose Jesus, for He gave His life for you We at SACREDFIRE MINISTRY would like to share Him with you. See us at sacredfireministry.org and learn of us, or visit us on face book at sacredfireministryinc, leave a prayer request or a comment we want to hear from you. My prayer is that you will connect with God and learn of Him and let Him guide your life. Amen

Ego-Conceit

?Text? Isaiah 5:20-25 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! 22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: 23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! 24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. 25 Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
?My Thoughts? While speaking with my daughter about a problem she was having we discussed an issue that involved an Ego. Upon thinking of this word Conceit came into my mind that they are one in the same issue. We as people using our own minds to build ourselves up to be more than what we are supposed to be in God's eyes. I remember growing up I too needed to use this tactic to make myself feel important, I have noticed children fighting for status among themselves to feel the same importance in life I can recognize it as a tool for something missing within them from their raising, although they do not understand the happenings going on in them they do notice a lacking for the love or attention that seems to build on ones importance to the family or to society. I feel we as parents have failed to instill value to our kids to help them develop a sense of value to us or themselves. We all have a need to feel important, but it is where we place that need of importance that makes the difference. Do we strive to fit into this human life hoping to achieve greatness? Knowing that this life will disappear and be void after death, or do we desire to apply it to our spiritual life and how we can please God? It is quite a decision to make, yet it is only with-in us can we make the right choice for we will be the ones to answer for it. In verse 21 you are issued a warning and in verses 24 and 25 you can see the reward for such a choice. My prayer is that you put away all forms of ego and conceit and haughtiness from you and strive to make God your choice for importance. As you read the bible He will show you that you are important to Him and His work in you. I don't proclaim to knowing all the answers however I do give praise to God for directing me to being observant, and thanking Him for giving me the gift of discerning what I discover as being proper for my life here to prepare for the afterlife with Him. Amen

Measure

?Text? Matthew 7:1-3 1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

?My Thoughts? I was given the word measure, upon researching it's subject in the Bible. I became engulfed in a different thought coming from the original. The above scripture lead me to think how many times I have heard it said but yet not practiced. I realized how peoples are quick to judge not realizing how the same judgment will come back to them. I know that we are quick to recognize others faults before we are willing to see our own (note: mote and beam). In the passage it references there may be a mote in another eye but there is a beam in our own. Seldom do we stop to think of the wrongs we have done before we point out the wrong of someone else. It is hard to accept our own imperfections. That would mean we are not up to measure in peoples standard, this is when we must decide who is most important, God or Man. My pray is that you see God as your ruler and try to measure up to His standard not that of a human man. Amen

Equipped for service

?Text? Exodus 31:3-5 3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

?My Thoughts? While talking with a friend we were discussing working on things and how we need to be equipped to do the job before us. This thought led me to think are we equipped to do God's service? I thought how that the knowledge obtained from the Bible will give us all the guidance we would need to give Him our assistance in His service. I was asked this morning about where to find a certain subject in the Bible. I was happy to offer an answer immediately, Then turning to it for him to see the answer for himself. I was quite pleased to see that my studying was helping me to help others. So I then discovered that I had the right equipment for the job. My prayer is that you, too are equipped for your service to God. Amen

Comparison

?Text? Psalm 89:6 6For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord? Isaiah 46:5 5 To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
?My Thoughts? Today I was doing a comparison of insurance coverage when the thought came to me, has anyone took the time to compare their life without God or Jesus in it as compared to life without Them. Psalm 19:14 14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. This scripture assured me that They would help guard me by examining me for Their work and give me the strength I will need in times of trouble. I also know that my life with Them in it is a more productive than it was without Them. I draw great comfort knowing I am not alone I can turn to God for all my needs for I believe the words spoken in the Bible. My prayer is that you seek a comparison for your life and make changes accordingly. Accept Jesus as your Savior and give it a try. Amen

Open Book

? Text? Psalm 139 1-24 1 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. 5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. 6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. 7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. 13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. 17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. 20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. 21 Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

?My Thoughts? This topic made me think ( is my heart and mind an open Door for God to enter in) This Scripture reminded me that God knows all there is about me, my laying down, my rising up, even my future thoughts. He can search my heart and know what I think before I think it. Having him in my heart I have an Open Door. I no longer belong to myself but to Him, He alone can study me to find if I am worthy to be taught or if I will rebel against him, I am glad He studies me to be able to know where my faults lie and help me to be more like He wants me to be. In verse 4 He uses the Word on my tongue to represent the thoughts I have are made manifest through the power of a word. The Bible being the living Word of God through Jesus Christ. To guide us and lead us to His usable path. It is up to us to strive to be usable of God by accepting Jesus as our Savior. My prayer is that you will accept the Savior and become useable, for many are in need of enlightenment to find the peace and Love God has to offer. Let Him search you in this moment and try your thoughts to check you out for His Kingdom. Amen

Circumstances

?Text? Psalm 15 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. 3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. 4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. 5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

?My Thoughts? Today my thought was late. I guess you could say the circumstances were out of my control, sometimes we must wait upon the Lord to provide. I got this thought from an incident happening in my family, some trying news came to us and I had to realize that many times we are just not prepared to face certain circumstances in our life. Yet I know to trust God to take care of the concerns I might have for the problems that arise, as spoken in 1Thessalonians 5:18 in everything give thanks. For only God can reveal why you are in the circumstance. We must stand fast and hold to Christ to strengthen us. In Hebrews chapter 11 you will find many circumstances of others who held onto their faith and trusted God to provide his promise to take care of them. My prayer is that you too will hold onto God to take care of your circumstances. Amen

Medicine

?Text? Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Jeremiah 30:13
13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
?My Thoughts? Just as I was taking my medicine today I began thinking about how my living depends on this medication and I realize that God had given me spiritual medicine I also need to take it is a necessary daily dose. You see we have this tool at our disposal if we remember to take it daily I do have a forgetful mind and I lax in this daily dosage taking then I can see how not taking it affects the way I feel, maybe you can see that you too need to take your medicine to feel better. I also thought that without a spiritual medicine the cure cannot be found for we need balance in our life to get the full benefit of any kind cure for what ails us. Today set your mind to have a merry heart and hope for all things God has for you. I too have to think on these lines. My prayer is that you receive good thoughts and have a merry heart. Amen

The Blame Game
?Text? 2 Corinthians 8:19-21 19And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind: 20 Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:21 Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
?My thoughts? Throughout my life I have noticed how each of us, including myself. When we encounter an issue in our life that causes us hurt. We tend to play the blame game. Nothing is ever our fault, even if it is possible we made a wrong decision or choice. It makes us feel better if we can pass the blame to someone else. It makes us feel superior. We never want to claim ownership for our part in the situation. Remember the old saying ?The Devil made me do it,? to a great extent I think that is possible since, we allowed outside influences affect the decision instead of being responsible for our own actions. Even when children play together, if one gets hurt they never accept it as an accident it is always another fault, he made me do it. What are we teaching our kids? Do we ever stop to think ? What our choices will do to affect our situation. We are a people of free will we can make decisions and choices. We must be prepared to accept the consequences of our own actions. God wants us to make right choices, that is why he gave us a brain, to think before we commit an action. Will this be right or wrong for me will it hurt someone? I tried to teach my children ? for ever action there is an equal or opposite reaction,? I remember this from science class. I also began to think this way myself before I made decisions. Are they always the right choice? No, I still have lessons to learn, but I am still trying I want to be Christlike, therefore I will strive toward perfection. As with kids we are all in the learning process and will be till we die. Love and Light to all Amen

No instruction Given

?Text? Proverbs 22:6Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
?My Thought? Over the past few days the thought of children was on my mind, during our last radio program I had said children don't come with an instruction book then I realized we had it all along so I must set the record straight. The bible has in it what we need there are several passages in Proverbs with directions concerning children. I hope you take the time to investigate those passages and learn the Godly way to help you with children, left alone to their own would be a disaster for themand this would break your heart. The following is a little of my own deductions on the subject. The ages of life are like the ages of earth, we had ,the prehistoric age, the ice age,now we are in the modern age. I'm sure I missed many other ages in between, but the point is there are stages in life we must go through, each has their own significance. Let's start from the beginning.

1.The Infant: Coming into the world not knowing anything except the inborn instincts that are God given then we must realize what we teach them, they then fall into the absorption age. Each touch and every cry is to absorb the actions taken by the caregiver. Which at this point is responsible for teaching even though you may not realize it. When the infant cries, you pick him up you just taught him to cry to be held. The infant has learned from the beginning that for every action there is a reaction. Also know as the learning age studies have shown that from birth to 4 years old children learn more than at any point in life.

2.The toddler: Beginning to become mobile allows the toddler to absorb their surroundings, The sense of feel, taste, sight of new things, and self esteem come into exsistance, many likes and dislikes are developed. Again this is the absorption age also know as the discovery age. Read the Bible to your child at this time you will be amazed how much they will retain.

3.The child: Again this is the absorption age. Now is the time to listen to adults and discover/absorb the atmosphere surrounding them. Is it pleasant or very unorganized. Learning to adapt the past lessons learned getting to this point in life or do they have to explore more to discover their way of getting their needs met. Another example of the absorption age. All the above are examples of the importance of teaching children. The Bible has a recurrent theme throughout, beginning in Deuteronomy6:6-7 ?And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart; you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.Deuteronomy6:6-7 Next is a commandment to assist in teaching spirituality Proverbs 22:6?Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.? Proverbs 22:6. Also 2 Timothy 3:15? From childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.? 2 Timothy 3:15 This being from Jewish teaching as well as without knowing the Bible the Native American people taught the children much the same way the Jewish people did. This knowledge can come early in life. No matter your belief you are impacted by God. My prayer is that you prepare your children for their new adventure, please don't leave them to struggle alone trying to find the way to spiritual growth, Amen

Ego

?Text? Proverbs 18:19-21 19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle. 20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
?My Thoughts? We all fight the battle with ego. The above scripture discusses this issue using the tongue to suggest that we and others saying things about us incites our ego and adds value to us in our minds. We put great value in what others say or what we think of our self, We tend to put us up on a pedestal to feel grander than we really are. It is not bad to use such talk to motivate us but not to think our self higher than others, we need to keep our ego and our tongue in check. As the scripture suggest death and life are in the tongue, if we speak it we need to be ready to eat our own words as they will visit us. Yes we are to help build others up ? edify? when down, not to the fact we feed their ego. My prayer is that we bridle the tongue Psalm 39:1-2 1 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. 2 I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred. Do not let your ego run away with you. Amen

Do What You Say Then Follow Through

?Text? Proverbs 22:1-31 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. 2 The rich and poor meet together: the Lord is the maker of them all.
3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

?My Thoughts? Today I was thinking about the people that have discussed things they were going to do for me or others as I reflected I realized that the deed had not been completed or that a follow-up not completed. Others have told me of other people doing the same thing, I thought does any body really keep their word any more or is it just idle speaking hoping to get the warm and fuzzy feeling of thinking the person they had promised would think highly of them. My personal opinion is that I will treat the person as a person of no truth about them and not trust their word, it would not hold any weight with me. Are we like that with God? Thankfully He knows your heart before you think it and He knows what you will or will not do. I caution you to protect your words to God and keep them for if He holds you accountable there will be more repercussions for your not doing as you say you will. Remember your reputation is at stake. Be true to yourself first you are important and what others think does matter. My prayer is that you revere your reputation in high regard. Amen

Prejudice

?Text? Proverbs 15:33 The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
John 13:34-35 34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

?My Thoughts? For the last few days the word prejudice has weighed on my mind. I began thinking how many cultures uses prejudice to choose whom they will deal with. The words of Jesus tells us to love our neighbors as our self His intention I understand is for us to display this love through us for others to be able to accept His love toward us. Jesus spoke many times in John's writings in the Bible, our failure to display this love put us in jeopardy of God's judgment. My prayer is that we all avoid this by striving to be more loving toward fellow man despite the earlier influences in our life. Amen

The Glass House

?Text? Romans 2:1 1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
Luke 6:36-38 36Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. 37Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. John 8:1-12 1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
?My Thoughts? This is a strange thought in my mind today, but God has a meaning in it for someone.
He told me that our life is like living in a glass house we need to be careful not to throw stones at others, we not being perfect must guard our house. I thought of how we look at others lives with a microscope, not realizing that others are looking at us in the same way. Do you feel you might have something in your life you would not want others to know then be careful to keep your curtains closed as the glass will expose your faults in a clear view. By keeping ourselves in check we can avoid having our life on display and our mouth shut will keep us from being the accuser or a stumbling block in the life of one seeking to find God. My prayer is that we avoid God's chastisement by looking in our own life for faults and become determined to correct our self first. The story above in John brought to mind we need to be without sin before we look for the sin in others and not to cast any stones till we are pure enough to keep the stones from our own house. Amen
