I am often asked, how do I know if what I am doing is for my Highest good? How do I know if what I want from life is based on my wants or has been placed there to achieve from Universe?
Everyone has a Higher purpose in this lifetime and yet many never seek it out or achieve it because ego starts to become more prominent in their lives instead of Source (Universe/God). When you were born, there was a deep seeded dream placed in you. Some of you, as children were able to draw on it just knowing that you wanted to be a fireman, a policeman, an astronaut, an artist, a dancer, a singer, etc. Some of you just wanted to help others even at a small age. You would be kind, caring and giving towards other people whether they were children, adults or seniors.
This energy that came out in many unfortunately was buried by society - whether it was through teachers, parents or mentors. Did someone ever laugh at you when you told them what you wanted to do or be? Did someone say, “Go back and think about it some more because that will never happen”? Each one of us has a different story as to why we are or aren’t achieving our dreams in life.
Today, is the day to decide, “I will achieve my dreams as long as they are coming from spirit and are for my Highest good.” It is time to look at your dreams for your life from a deeper perspective. How do you feel when you take one of your dreams and truly look at what it is? Are you lost? Do you feel it’s hopeless or too late? Do you feel that there is no way it can ever happen? Or are you filled with an optimistic energy that says “I can do, be or have anything that is for my Higher self.”?
When you take a “I CAN” attitude and you know in your gut (not your heart) that your choices are being made with the assistance of your guides and angels, things will fall into place for you. Doors will open and opportunities to connect with other people will show up. When you are in an attitude of “I CAN” you will also feel a new energy deep within your gut from your guides and angels that will urge you to move forward and to follow the dreams that are deep inside of you. Your gut knows. It is a huge part of what is necessary to move forward on any journey. When you feel the calm or even excited anticipation coming from your gut, you are on the right path. If your gut is telling you “NO” please listen. It is not saying your dream in not attainable; it is simply saying the way you are doing something is not for your Highest good.
Each one of you has the ability to connect on a spiritual basis and receive the messages or answers that you desire however you must be careful that you are not confusing what’s in your heart with what’s in your gut. Your heart is the emotional center, the core of love and life. Your heart is where you feel love and hurt, compassion and revenge.
The heart can be confusing at times because it sends misleading information to the brain. Your gut is the truth of who you are and the pure connection to your Higher self and you must learn to listen to it over the feelings in your heart. This is why so many relationships fail. Listening to the heart when the gut is giving you the opposite information is often devastating. Many of you have married when your gut said that something is wrong because your heart was saying “but I love him or her”. A few years later, you wake up and your spouse or partner has left for someone else and you are dumbfounded as to why. Simply put, you chose to listen to your heart over the warnings you were receiving in your gut. It is not a punishment, simply a life lesson that your guides are trying to send you information that you need to pay attention to. Your gut is the core to your Highest good.
This does not mean that you ignore your heart feelings. They are necessary for you to have a relationship with yourself or with other people. It is simply learning how to differentiate between which you are to pay attention to. Always choose your gut first, heart second.
Listen to your gut when making decisions whether it is on your love life, career, material needs, spiritual growth or life in general. You will always get the answers from your guides there and they will always be for your Highest good.
